THE INSPIRATION
Greek Cultural Heritage, Contemporary Identity & Styling
In the Lenousa Conceptual Jewelry collection, jewelry is presented as a narrative tool, where the person who wears it becomes the protagonist, gives it meaning, and expresses themselves through it. Plexiglass, as a transparent canvas, connects art, tradition, and styling, creating personal narratives and contemporary identities with timeless versatility.
LENOUSA HOLEVA
Architecture and Artistic Expression as a Unique Dialogue
An architect engineer with extensive experience across the public and private sectors, specializing in urban planning, spatial planning, and accessibility. In 2015, together with her daughter, Iliana Grammenopoulou — social anthropologist and Argentine Tango teacher — she initiated an open, evolving, and distinctive dialogue with Greek history, folk traditions, fairy tales, and beyond. From this dialogue emerged the Lenousa Conceptual Jewelry collection, where architectural thought and artistic expression are brought together to convey the richness of Greek cultural heritage.
THE PROCEDURE
Each piece of jewelry, being original and unique, requires its own time and dedication.
The Lenousa Conceptual Jewelry Collection draws inspiration from motifs found in manuscripts, miniatures, frescoes, mosaic floors, ceramics, and the personal symbolic world of Greek cultural heritage.
The motifs selected for earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, and pins are freely rendered through controlled engraving techniques and acrylic colors on plexiglass. The transparency of the plexiglass allows light to pass through the jewelry, creating at least two distinct viewing experiences. For each jewel, dimensions of 3, 4, 6, or 8 cm are selected, along with the appropriate mounting.
Each piece is unique and original, the creative process behind its production acquires an almost ritualistic vision The jewelry can be styled with. gold or silver pieces…, as well as with vintage items from personal collections seeking a second life. Each year, a silver Lucky Charm – a symbolic Companion and Friend – is designed
